There are 6 boats in the silver fleet, 5 Albin 28’s and a Scampi 30. Each is a practical blend of performance and comfort for boats their size. Silver boats are located in Boston, Marblehead and Westport and members may depart from any location. Buzzards Bay is popular for vacations since it saves several days departing from and returning boats to Boston. Each boat has a reliable 20 hp Yanmar diesel, marine head with holding tank for cruising in sensitive areas, 135% furling genoa and mainsail with two reefs. Albins have fold-down tables which provide more room inside, modest ice boxes and foot pumps for water storage and showers. Both the Albins and Scampi are proven boats in windy conditions-the Albin fraction al rig offers good balance options and the Scampi gets form stability from its hard chine hull.

All boats have tool kits with engine spares, fasteners and fuses and flashlights with spare batteries. Manual and electric bilge pumps are standard on each boat.
